Abstract
We developed "Rapid Meet", a prototyping meeting system which helps consensus
building in online conferences at internet environment. After verifications, "Rapid
Meet" was evaluated that users can concentrate more in meetings than by using existing
remotely-connected chat services. This system's features are the function of mapping
members' positions and the function to helping facilitators. The function of mapping
members' positions has a field which users put their opinion and express their positions
real time. It also visualizes how users agree in what level. The meeting members not only
understand the positions of oneself or others but also understand the distribution of
opinion. This function of helping facilitators urge the independence of the members and
the conscious of time. On this occasion we conducted verification of the function of
mapping members' positions. In the future, we conducted verification of the function to
help facilitator, and we will aim to realize the support system of rapid consensus building
by conducting verification of helping facilitators.
