人を取り巻くクッションやソファ，枕や布団などの柔らかい日用品（柔軟物）をインタフェースとして扱い，これまでマウスやキーボードなどの硬いインタフェースでは忍び込ませるのが難しかった，人の「懐」の空間にインタフェースを溶け込ませることに挑戦しています．この懐の領域にインタフェースが入り込むことで，インタフェースは身体に近い存在となり，コンピュータを意識的に使用せずとも，生活者は情報環境と常につながることができるようになります．これにより生活者は日常の生活様式を崩すことなく行動や感情状態が抽出され，状況に合った温もりのあるサービスを自然に受け取ることができます．
